Sitting Services/Carer Short Breaks

At Direct Health we are committed to pioneering services that offer a real choice and support people to retain their independence and remain at home as safely and as long as possible.

Our short breaks at home service enables carers to have a break from their caring responsibilities safe in the knowledge that there is someone at hand to provide all the care and practical support required. Our Care and Support Workers can move in for a couple of hours or for an extended block of time so that the carer can take time out for a holiday, to attend family events, or to undergo routine hospital treatment. The service offers a real alternative to residential admission or hospital care with consistency and continuity of care offered in home surroundings. It enables carers to get a much needed rest whilst ensuring minimum disruption to the cared for person.
